Who actually builds the site?
Some agencies sell you on a senior designer in the pitch meeting, then hand the real work to a junior team or an outsourced dev shop you'll never talk to. Ask directly: who writes the code, and can I talk to them if something's wrong? A one-person or small studio setup often means less overhead cost — and a shorter chain when you need something fixed.
What's the technical foundation?
Ask what the site is actually built on. A heavy WordPress install with a stack of plugins is slower to load and harder to keep secure than a site built on modern, pre-rendered architecture — and load speed is a real Google ranking factor now, not just a nice-to-have. Confirm whether Google Business Profile alignment, city-specific structure, and basic technical SEO are part of the build — or something you'll need to pay for separately, later, after realizing the site isn't bringing in traffic.
What happens after launch?
